MNAC Quiz Bowl
Junior High & High School
Friday, March 21st @Tryon
Jr. High Quiz Bowl: Competes in the Shop, Ag Room, History, Math, and Art rooms.
HS Quiz Bowl: Competes in the Science, Special Education/DL, Business, Library, and English rooms.
Score/Challenge Room: The main office will be where we keep score and review challenges.
Format: Round Robin - We will go through all 12 toss-up questions and bonuses.
Winner will be determined first by the number of wins.
The 1st tie breaker will be the highest number of total points earned for the 10 rounds.
The 2nd tie breaker will be the head to head competition.
If a team feels that a challenge is necessary, the team captain is the only one who may make the challenge and must make the challenge at the time of the answer (before the next question is given). Be sure that you have a legitimate challenge as each challenge lengthens the day. There shall be no questions raised by anyone except the team captain, moderator, or officials. The decision of the judge will be final.
JH and HS competitions will be run independently and simultaneously. Therefore, one of them will finish before the other.
Concessions: Will be available throughout the day: pop, water, candy.
Hospitality room: This is for coaches, sponsors, and bus drivers.

Thank you for supporting the MHS Blood Drive this year! It was a very successful drive with 59 units collected. There were a large number of student donors this year (16) as well as MPS staff (11). We would like to send out a special thank you to the community members that continue to support the students and help save lives by donating blood. This drive was particularly special as Mullen graduate, Hailey (Phipps) Newland, was there working for the American Red Cross! As a MHS student Hailey helped organize this very drive!

A big thank you to Lou Cox-Fornander for putting on a 3rd-6th Grade HAL day here at Mullen Public Schools. We had 5 area schools participate in a day full of team building activities, using problem solving skills, and using critical thinking in every single activity.

Happy Birthday Aurora!

In science, the 2nd grade students explore the different properties of materials used for clothing, such as texture, flexibility, and absorbency. Then students use this information to design and build a hat that protects them from the Sun.

The Broncos headed to Dunning today to compete at MNAC Speech. Both Sydnee and Hope placed, with Sydnee placing 5th in Entertainment and Hope 5th in Program of Oral Interpretation (POI).
