A huge shout-out to the National Honor Society! These amazing students have volunteered countless hours of their time this year to so many activities. This past weekend they spent their day helping to package up 2,089 meal kits that will be distributed students in Nebraska in need of weekend meals. They also shopped for activity kits and dropped them off to the Ronald McDonald House to brighten up a child's (or their sibling's) day. Thank you to all the members this year for all of their hard work and dedication!
Congratulations to Jeffery Forsen and Isaac Welch as they were selected by the Nebraska Scholastic Wrestling Coaches Association to compete in this year's Nebraska All-Star Dual to be held on Saturday, June 10, 10:00 A.M. MST at Northwest High School in Grand Island.
ATHLETIC BANQUET
The annual Athletic Banquet will be held Monday, May 1 at 6:00 p.m. at the Lariat Auditorium. The Mullen Commercial Club will furnish the meat & potatoes. Drinks and table service are also provided. Those who are attending with last names beginning with A-F are asked to bring a Dessert, G-L a Vegetable, and M-Z a Salad

Congratulations to Clayton Moore and Deacon DeNaeyer, they have been selected to play in the MNAC vs MAC All-Star Basketball Game June 16th. Clayton will also be playing in the Striv All-Star Game in Grand Island on June 2nd and the NCA All-Star Game on July 24th.

JH track meet scheduled for Tuesday April 25 has been moved to Monday April 24th @ Arnold leave 6:30 am. Mullen will leave Arnold at 4:00 pm mt time regardless of completion of track meet due to Honors Night in Mullen.

Congratulations to Isaac Welch and Deacon DeNaeyer!!
Deacon DeNaeyer and Isaac Welch have been chosen to play in All-Star Football games this summer. Deacon was selected to play in the 45 th West Nebraska All-Star Game in Scottsbluff on June, 10 th . The game will kickoff at 7:00pm at Scottsbluff High School. Deacon will be a member of the East team coached by Jeff Gross of McCook High School. Isaac was selected to play in both the West Nebraska All-Star Game and the Sertoma 8-Man All Star Game. Unfortunately, Isaac had to decline the West Nebraska invite due to a conflict with an All Star Wrestling Dual he is participating in. He will however represent Mullen on the West team for the Sertoma game in Hastings. This game will be held on June 17 th at Hastings College. Kickoff will be at 5:00pm MST. Halftime of the game will also include the induction of the 2023 8 Man Hall of Fame class. Deacon and Isaac join a long list of past Mullen football players selected to play in these All Star games
On Tuesday, Mullen Physics students, Alex Moore and Clayton Moore, competed against the Hyannis Physics students in a friendly battle of ancient devices which both groups designed and built over several weeks. Mullen's trebuchet was able to launch the farthest and with good precision!
Mullen Biology students were able to join the "Know Your Well" program through UNL and the NRD. This program educates students on the importance of testing domestic wells to ensure the water is safe to drink. Thank you to Mary Harner for training us on how to test a few local wells today!
STEM club students learned about monarch butterfly population decline. They planted milkweek seeds to do their part in helping bring the butterfly numbers back up! They even created their own paper planters to help reduce plastic use. Earth Day is April 22nd. Remember to do your part.
