Youth Football Camp
Just a couple of things in our upcoming youth camps. Hopefully by the end of today you can go to the school website and print off the form. It should be under Documents/Camp Forms. Also, we have had a couple of groups offer to serve lunch to the kids between camp. With that being said, please text if your kid will be attending to Coach Marsh so we can get a rough number for lunches. We can also facilitate rides for the kids from the high school to the Lariat in between camps so you just drop them off in the morning and pick up in the afternoon. Lastly, there will be a tshirt for all participants. An info sheet will be present at check in and we will deliver their shirts when school starts. Cost of the shirt is included in the camp fee. If there are any other questions please reach out to Coach Marsh
Dear Parents of Future Broncos
After a meeting with the Nebraska Department of Education, Educational Service Unit 16, and the Mullen Public School, we have decided to make a change to the Little Broncos Early Childhood Center and Preschool schedule and hours. We received some great feedback from parents and we want to make sure that this program is very successful as we move forward. The preschool will start in the Fall of 2025 on Monday September 8, 2025 and Mrs. Heather Phillips will be the early childhood teacher/coordinator with Kathy Leibhart being the early childhood paraprofessional. Most recently, we have decided to separate 3 year olds and 4 year olds to half day classes.
Start and End Times
Half Day class for 3 year olds: 7:45-11:00 Monday through Thursday
Half day class for 4 year olds: 11:25-3:10 Monday through Thursday
3 year old students in the AM will be able to eat breakfast and 4 year old students in the afternoon will be able to eat lunch at the school. Snacks will be provided mid morning and mid afternoon, but there will be a small $25 annual charge for the snacks. Transportation will be provided at the beginning of the school day and at the end of the school day, as long as you reside on a current Mullen Public Schools bus route. Unfortunately, MPS will not be able to provide routes to places that do not currently have a bus route and MPS will NOT provide transportation to home residences. MPS will provide transportation to local daycares registered with the state of Nebraska. For information on bus routes, please contact the school as we have 7 different routes that we run daily.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact either Mr. Kuncl, Mr. Mauler, or Mrs. Phillips. If you would like to enroll your child into the preschool program, please fill out the previously sent out enrollment form and return to Mullen Public Schools.

Three Mullen FCCLA Officers attended the annual Leadership Workshop in Grand Island today. They had the opportunity to build leadership skills including stage presence, speaking skills, social media usage, creating posters and learned some new ice breakers. It was a great day!

Happy Birthday Cooper!

Dear Mullen Public Schools Gym/Weight Room Members
As of June 16, 2025, the Mullen Administration with support from the Mullen Board of Education has made the decision to make the Lariat Gymnasium the community gym. Your key fobs will no longer be able to allow you access to the Hilltop Gymnasium, but you will have access to the Lariat gym beginning on June 19 after the gym floor is refinished. With all competitions and a majority of Physical Education classes held at the Hilltop Gymnasium, it made complete sense that the Lariat gym become the community membership gym going forward. The main reasons for this change are not limited to, but include the reasons below:
Lariat is open during the school day
Allows for daytime use yearlong, especially in the winter months
Lariats does not hold competitions or classes
Allows maintenance staff time to clean without rush
Bathrooms and Drinking fountains are available for use.
All Gym membership fees will be used to maintain the Lariat Facility
This does not affect your weight room membership as you will have the same access as always. Please remember to abide by the contract which states gym shoes should be used, no bikes, no drones, no scooters, no roller skates, no hoverboards, no remote control cars, or anything else that could create harm to the gym floor. We want to keep the Lariat gym in nice condition so we can continue to offer a gym membership.
Please contact Mr. Kuncl or Mr. Kvanvig with any questions or concerns.
Best regards
Mullen Administration Team
The geothermal greenhouse is starting to come together thanks to Tyler and his crew. This greenhouse was possible thanks to a generous anonymous donation to the science department last year. We are very excited to put it to use in the classroom this fall!
