The 2nd-grade students have been learning about tall tales and comparing characters from two stories using a Venn Diagram.
The 8th graders traveled to Thedford today for the 13th annual ULNRD field day for a day of education and fun. They attended 6 sessions; wildlife, forestry, geology, water, soil, and range.

The senior Standards Science students have been studying river ecology by sampling benthic macroinvertebrates at the Middle Loup River north of Mullen.
The 6th graders are learning the steps in the scientific method. They are doing experiments on how many drops of water the surface of each coin can hold. We are having fun while learning science and using math.

What a great night at the Back to School Bronco Bash! It was so great to see the parents and students at the Elementary and High School last night. An amazing crowd came out to watch the volleyball scrimmage! A huge thank you to all that supported the NHS. A special thank you from NHS to Mr. Kvanvig, Mr. Kuncl, Mr. Mauler, Kris Forsen, Kelley Carr, Tyler, Nikki, Elle Gracey, and the Fall coaches for helping make this night happen.

FCCLA Sign Up Meeting on Friday, (August 23rd) during lunch in the FCS room. Nachos will be served. If you are unable to make it, but still want to be a part of FCCLA, please talk to Mrs. Walz.
Students in Mrs. Vest's social studies classes have been getting hands-on with maps. The Sophomore World History class was the only class to finish the world map puzzle on the first day of school. The Freshman Geography class practiced reading latitude and longitude with a game of battleships today. Keep up the good work kids!
